If you are using Freedocast for the first time, use the ‘start broadcast’ option on the home page, and fill in a simple signup page to get started.

Public broadcast is a broadcast which is open for all. Public broadcast, is open for all the registered users as well as visitors to Freedocast.

If you do not want your broadcast to be seen by everyone, then use private broadcasting tool, which helps you to restrict your broadcast to few selected users, to watch your broadcast.

A broadband connection is generally recommended, however you can broadcast live video on Freedocast with as little as 100kbps of upload bandwidth. Check www.speedtest.net to see if you have the necessary upload connection speed.

Any USB webcam and USB/Fire wire camcorders are supported by Freedocast provided your computer recognizes your camera as a video device. IP cameras are not supported.

All you need is to be above 13 years to open an account with Freedocast.

There are many ways to improve the quality of your broadcast. If your broadcast is choppy, ensure you have enough bandwidth to broadcast at your selected quality settings.
Lowering the quality setting or video bit rate will improve video smoothness.
If your picture quality is poor, you may consider investing in a higher quality camera. Also try adjusting your lighting. Digital cameras need a lot of light, since video appears grainy in dark conditions.
